🚗 Parking & Logistics

• Daily Passes: During the summer season (daily from mid-June through Labor Day, and weekends starting Memorial Day), parking is $32.50 to $35.00 per vehicle. Credit cards are accepted at the gate.
• Free Hours: The beach parking lot is free after 4:30 PM, making it a perfect spot for an evening walk or a sunset picnic.
• Early Arrival: The 400-space parking lot often fills up on sunny summer weekends. Try to arrive before 10:00 AM to secure a spot.
• Dog Rules: Dogs are strictly prohibited on the public section of the beach and in the parking lot from April 1st through September 7th to protect nesting shorebirds. 

🛞 Nauset Outer Beach & Off-Roading

For those with proper four-wheel-drive vehicles, the Nauset Outer Beach trail stretches 5 miles south toward Chatham. An Over-Sand Vehicle (OSV) permit is required, along with specialized safety equipment (shovels, tow ropes, and low tire pressure). Portions of this trail experience seasonal closures during the summer to protect endangered Piping Plovers.
